You can never start too young to start taking care of your skin.
I’ve been using skincare products for as long as I can remember & I’m only 20 years old.
Aging is a fact of life. Looking your age is not.
I’ve always had a passion for skincare. I love skincare products. I have so many of them in my bathroom. So much of my income (which isn’t much by the way since I’m a full-time student) 🙈 goes towards skincare products.
Skincare & makeup go hand-in-hand.
They do even if you don’t believe me. Makeup only looks good if you have the perfect canvas so if you have dead skin & try to apply makeup on top, it is not going to look good. That’s why after a facial, your makeup will sit perfectly on your skin.
Makeup is wrongly interpreted these days. Makeup isn’t supposed to be used to cake on to cover up your blemishes. It’s used to even out your skin tone & to enhance your natural beauty. Don’t get me wrong, makeup can be used to camouflage but all I’m saying is that having clean, beautiful skin will make your skin look even better with or without makeup on.
Just a little side note to remember.
When you cake your concealer on your blemishes, it does not do you any favors. It cakes around it & looks dry.
About a year ago, is when I made the decision to take the Esthetics course at the local NSCC. I started this past September & from what we’ve learnt so far, nothing compares to my love for facials. I have such a thirst for knowledge in this field.
Our skin is one thing that will represent us forever. It’s our biggest organ & it needs so much love then we’re giving it.
So many people don’t take care of their skin. They’ll take care of their hair, their nails but forget the most important part: their face.
Sun exporsure is the #1 cause of premature aging.
Your face is the first thing that people see. It’s also the first thing you see in the mirror. Everybody wants clear skin, young skin but don’t know how to go about doing so.
I’ve made up of a list of things that could help you take better care of your skin:
- start young to help revert signs of aging
- use an eye cream
- get facials regularly
- take your makeup off before bed
- dont wash your face with soap
- balance your skin’s pH
- always use sunscreen
- put a moisturizer before leaving the house
- always try to keep your pores clean so they don’t stay enlarged
Mainly, treat your skin & overall body as your baby. Care for it, nourish it & love it. It’s the only place you have to live.
